Spin Instructor
River Road Park and Recreation is looking for a new Spin Instructor! We are seeking an energetic, upbeat, and highly organized Spin Instructor to join our fitness team. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm and motivation to every class, while creating fun, challenging, and dynamic cycling workouts. You will be responsible for leading engaging spin classes, developing your own curriculum, and ensuring that every participant has a great experience. We currently have 16 Spin cycles.
The current session is Tuesdays 6-7, but we are interested in potentionaly adding another session or two, depending on space. Thank you again.
Responsibilities:
- Lead high-energy spin classes that are engaging, fun, and challenging for all levels of participants.
- Develop and create your own cycling curriculum and playlists, ensuring that classes are diverse and continuously evolving.
- Maintain an organized schedule and track attendance.
- Foster a welcoming, positive, and inclusive environment for all participants.
- Provide personalized feedback and encouragement to participants during class.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and techniques in cycling fitness.
- Ensure the proper upkeep of all spin equipment.
- Assist in promoting studio classes and events.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Spin Instructor or similar fitness role.
- High energy, positive attitude, and ability to motivate and inspire participants.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to plan and develop class content.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and create engaging, high-intensity workouts.
- Certification from a recognized Spin or indoor cycling program (e.g., Schwinn, Mad Dogg Athletics, etc.).
- Passion for fitness and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in creating themed or special ride events.
- Knowledge of music selection and the ability to curate playlists that enhance the experience.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
