SHELTER RENTAL RULES

1. Shelter use is by paid reservation only.  Groups of 30 or more must make a reservation.  Groups are limited to 200 people and require prior notification to facilitate the large numbers.  See district business office to schedule your rental. 

2. Renters and their guests must observe all park and shelter rules and return the premises to pre-event condition. 

3. All shelter rentals must be cleaned, and your party must be out of the shelter AT YOUR END TIME.  Setup and cleanup time must be included in your reservation.  If you need additional setup/cleanup time, please reserve at the time of booking.

4.  DO NOT dispose of briquettes in the park - leave them to die out in the barbeques.

5. There is no reserved or overnight parking; no parking in Fire Lane for unloading/loading.  No motorized vehicles allowed within the park grounds.

6. Pets must always be on an accompanied, maximum 8 ft leash, and waste must be cleaned up by the owner.  No pets allowed in the playground area.

7. Decorations must be freestanding – no staples, nails, or screws allowed to attach tablecloths, signs, or other decorations to picnic tables, shelters, or trees. The use of tape or thumbtacks is permitted.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

30 days’ notice - full refund         29-15 days’ notice - 50% refund           Less than 15 days’ notice - NO REFUND

We do not honor cancellations or refunds due to inclement weather or early departure.  If the park district is closed due to unforeseen circumstances, the rental fee will be refunded.  Funds will be returned in the form in which they were paid.  Cash payments will be paid by check and available in the business office 5 days after the reservation.  Credit card charges are returned to the card within 5 business days. 

A cancellation with up to 15 days’ notice can be rescheduled 1 time at no cost.

 

RENTAL POLICY

1. All rentals require a district use permit and $300 REFUNDABLE SECURITY DEPOSIT at the time of booking.  The SECURITY DEPOSIT will be applied to a credit card on file. 

2. *A host liability waiver is required if you are having alcohol at your event.  A $1 million Host Liability Waiver can be acquired through your homeowner's insurance agency or purchase TULIP (Tenant User Liability Insurance Policy) through Special District's website.  For more TULIP details, see the main office for instructions.

3. The following policy violations will incur additional charges to your security deposit -

a) Overtime before or after reservation times will be charged at the hourly rental rate. 

b) Additional cleaning by maintenance staff to prepare for the next rental. 

c) Any damage to district facilities or equipment will be assessed by maintenance staff.   If damage is observed and documented, renter may be billed more than security deposit. 

d) Any violations of posted park regulations and rental rules as documented by maintenance staff.
