Title: Lifeguard

Reports to: Aquatics Supervisor / Aquatics Director

Position length:  Continuously accepting applicants–
variable 10-25 hours per work week; actual number of hours per week depends on individual availability.

Not certified?  River Road Park and Recreation District offers a either the StarGuardElite (SGE) or the American Red Cross (ARC) Lifeguard Training Program,  as determined each season (winter, spring, summer, fall).  

General Lifeguard Training Course (either SGE or ARC) Pre-Requisites:

• 15 years of age+
• Ability to swim 300 yards
• Ability to tread water using feet/legs only, no use of hands
• Ability to perform a feet first surface dive to a depth of twelve feet (12’)
